  Dosing and Administration

The Plan B® One-Step dosing regimen is just what it says—one single pill, which should be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours(3 days) after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure.

Remember, Plan B® One-Step is more effective the sooner it is taken. Since timing is so critical to efficacy, it’s important to keep Plan B® One-Step in stock, so it is immediately available to patients especially within the first 24 hours after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure, when it is most effective.

In the event that a patient vomits within two hours of taking a Plan B® One-Step tablet, consideration should be given to repeating the dose.

Who should not take Plan B One-Step?
Plan B® One-Step is contraindicated for use in women with the following conditions:
  • Known or suspected pregnancy
  • Hypersensitivity to any component of the product
Take Plan B One-Step as soon as possible.
